Privacy

Detour is built to know as little about you as possible.

What we store

Your current game, your streak, your statistics and your settings are saved in your own browser’s local storage. They never leave your device and we cannot see them. Clearing your browser data removes them.

What we don’t do

• No accounts, no sign-up, no email.
• No advertising, no cookies, and no tracking across other sites.
• No word you type is sent anywhere: link checking runs entirely in your browser.

Visitor statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and check that pages load quickly. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not identify or follow you between sites. It records only page views, the referring site, country, browser and device type, and page speed, which we see as totals. Any content blocker opts you out, and the game works exactly the same.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to deliver and protect the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.

Changes

If Detour ever adds advertising or collects anything else, this page will be updated first and will say exactly what is collected and how to opt out.
